Label TextBeatrice Anderson's covers for Child Life feature simple and colorful designs. Little is known about the artist. Born in Massachusetts, she studied at Boston University and in Stockholm. A member of the Boston Society of Arts and Crafts, the Weavers Guild of Boston, and the Massachusetts Society of Handmade Groups, she later moved to the West Coast, where she exhibited textile works.

Child Life began publishing in 1921 and was incorporated into Children's Digest in 2007. The magazine included illustrated stories, poetry, puzzles, and contests.
