Label TextIn 1946 White and Ansel Adams established the photography department at the California School of Fine Arts (later the San Francisco Art Institute). The instructors included Imogen Cunningham, Edward Weston, and Dorothea Lange, and the program was one of the first dedicated to fine art photography.
