Label TextIn 1916, Robert Henri accepted an invitation from ethnologist Edgar L. Hewitt to spend the summer in Santa Fe, New Mexico, painting the Hispanic and Native American children of the area. This work, painted during his second summer in Santa Fe, shows a shy, dark-haired girl named Lucinda.
