Label TextIn this seafaring story, placed in the waters around Fiji, a ship's captain encounters a young woman who is "beautiful, in a wild, untrammeled way." When he discovers that she is a captive of her father - a fugitive from British law - he contrives to free her and, in the end, marries her.
