Helen Wagner MaltaAmerican painter and printmaker, 1912–1975

Malta worked in New York City in the 1930s, teaching at the Harlem Art Center and making art under the auspices of the New York branch of the WPA graphics division. In the 1940s, she exhibited her screen prints in Baltimore. Her work is included in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the National Gallery.
