Harry FinneyAmerican painter and illustrator, active late 19th–early 20th century

Harry Finney was an American painter active in Philadelphia. After studying with William-Adolphe Bouguereau in Paris, he went on to eschew his teacher’s academic style in favor of a more popular, illustration-inspired technique. He was friends with Robert Henri, and participated in exhibitions at PAFA, the Paris Salon, and the National Academy of Design.
