William Hugh Ferguson

Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, Ferguson studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and in Paris. His work was influenced by Surrealism and he was best known as a watercolor painter. He exhibited regularly in the 1930s and '40s at the Academy, and his work is in the collection there, as well as in the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Reading Museum. He was represented by Carlen Galleries in Philadelphia.
