John H. BakerAmerican artist and professor, born 1952

John Baker received his undergraduate degree from West Chester University in 1974 and completed his master of fine arts degree from the University of Delaware in 1991. Baker taught at West Chester University from 1974 until his retirement in 2015. Additionally he taught at the University of Delaware and at the Delaware Art Museum. Baker has received numerous honors and awards acknowledging his influence as both an artist and professor, and his clay, plaster, and paper works have been featured in exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. Due to his years of dedicated teaching at West Chester University, the college's art gallery is named for him.
