Mabel DwightAmerican printmaker, 1876–1955
Dwight did not begin to practice art seriously until she was 50 years old. Traveling in Paris in 1927 she became interested in lithography, which would be her primary medium. In her prints, Dwight, who was deaf, showed herself to be a keen observer of the comic aspects of modern life.
