Gretchen MoyerAmerican artist, 1956–2015

Gretchen Moyer received her BFA in drawing from James Madison University in 1977 and her master of fine arts degree in printmaking from the University of Delaware in 1987. In 1988, she and artist husband David founded the Red Howler Press to create limited edition and one-of-a-kind artist’s books. She taught drawing, printmaking, and book arts at Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport until her death in 2015. She participated in numerous group exhibitions throughout the Mid-Atlantic region including annual shows here at the Museum (1985 68th Annual), the New York Public Library, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and the Pastel Society of America in New York, among many others.
