Raymond DuncanAmerican artist, dancer, and poet, 1874–1966

Brother of modern dancer Isadora Duncan, Raymond Duncan was an eccentric individual who published poetry and plays and ran private academies dedicated to new efforts in music, art, and theater. Captivated with ancient Greece, Duncan restored a villa outside Athens and dressed in classical Greek attire at his villa and when traveling abroad. Duncan produced striking modern textiles using block printing and hand painting.
