Jim Dine is a key participant in the 1950s Pop Art movement in the United States. He has continued to work across mediums, experimenting with performance, printmaking, painting, sculpture, and poetry. Dine was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and studied at the University of Cincinnati and the Boston Museum School from 1953–1955. He received his undergraduate degree in art in 1957 from Ohio University where he later continued his graduate study. Dine’s extensive career has been celebrated with numerous solo exhibitions, and his work is included in public collections throughout the United States and abroad.
