Paul Caponigro

Paul Caponigro was born in Boston in 1932 and began piano studies at Boston University. He began studying photography with Benjamin Chin in the early 1950s and later studied under Minor White. Caponigro's first solo exhibition was held at the George East House in 1958, and in 1960, the artist became consultant for the Polaroid Corporation and photography professor at Boston University. Caponigro's stark black-and-white photographs capture architectural details and the natural landscape.
