Richard Estes

Richard Estes is an American artist best known for his photorealistic paintings of the urban landscape. Estes studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and worked first as a commercial artist and illustrator. He began exhibiting in New York in the mid-1960s and is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid.
