Jay Irving

Jay Irving worked as a sports cartoonist and advertising artist. In 1932, he began a 13-year position at Collier's Weekly, where he created the title Collier's Cops. Irving eventually syndicated a similar cartoon strip titled Pottsy about an overweight but good natured and dutiful New York City cop.
