Born in Philadelphia, sculptor and papermaker Judith Ingram studied at the Philadelphia College of Art (now the University of the Arts) with printmaker Carol Summers. She also studied art with Hobson Pittman. Her work has been exhibited in many galleries and museums throughout the United States and abroad, including the Smithsonian Museum and the Tokyo Central Museum of the Arts in Japan.
Ingram is known as one of the founders of Philadelphia's MUSE Gallery, which was one of the first women's cooperative galleries in the United States, and was represented by Rosenfeld Gallery in Philadelphia for over two decades. Ingram gave handmade paper workshops at many institutions such as the University of Delaware, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Arrowmont School of Crafts, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and others. Her work is represented in private and public collections.
