Enid MarkAmerican printmaker and book artist, 1932–2008

Enid Mark attended Smith College and in 1986 founded ELM press in Philadelphia. She was recognized for her significant contributions to book arts and printmaking with a Pew Fellowship in 2001, a 2002 Leeway Foundation Award for Achievement (supporting women and trans artists working at the intersection of art, culture, and social change), and a 2006 Fellowship from PA Council on the Arts. Her books and prints are included in numerous museum and library collections throughout the United States and abroad including the Getty Research Institute, Yale University’s Sterling Memorial Library, Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, among many others.
