Edward V. Lis

Edward V. Lis was born in Poland and began his studies in art during the Second World War and continued to study art at the University of Leicester and the Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture, and Design in London. He immigrated to the United States in 1951 where he exhibited regularly and was commissioned to paint portraits of the college presidents of institutions throughout the greater Philadelphia area including the Union League of Philadelphia, Merrimack College, and Villanova University.
