BiographyA native of Fryeburg, Maine, Post was an influential member of the Photo-Secession, the group that formed around Alfred Stieglitz to champion photography as a fine art in the United States. Active between the 1880s and the 1910s, Post was particularly known for his pastoral landscapes, like Intervale, Maine, which appeared in Camera Work.
