Leigh Harrison HuntAmerican etcher, teacher, lecturer, 1858–1937

Raised in New York, Hunt graduated from Bellevue Medical School in 1880 and practiced medicine briefly before devoting himself to making art and teaching art history. He became head of the art department at City College of New York in 1918. He was a member of the New York Etching Club and the Society of American Etchers, and a founder of the Haden Etching Club, whose members were artist-physicians.
