Joanne Gross

Joanne Gross was born in Los Angeles in 1935 and studied at the University of California, Los Angeles, the Fleisher Institute, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The artist maintained an interest in abstract, geometric forms that depict space and movements. Gross exhibited throughout the greater Philadelphia area and received prizes and awards from the Delaware State Arts Council, the Woodmere Art Museum, and the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts (now the Delaware Contemporary). Gross is included in corporate and private collections including the Delaware Art Museum and the Pennsylvania State University campus in Media.
