Emilio Mazzoni Zarini

Painter and etcher, born in Florence on December 29, 1869. After studying at the Florence Academy of Fine Arts, and later as a painter in a post-macchiaiolo and impressionistic style. Encouraged also by G. Fattori, he devoted himself to etching, exhibiting these works by 1908. Influenced by Dutch and English Old Master etchers. Worked primarily in landscape, especially in Tuscany, the Romagna, Umbria and Lazio.
