Brandt Hoffman AlexanderAmerican illustrator, 1905–1965

A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Alexander probably studied at the School of Industrial Art in Philadelphia, and then spent some time in Europe in 1929. He completed his studies at the Wilmington Academy of Art in 1929-30 where he studied with Gayle Hoskins. He was active as an artist in Wilmington during the 1930s and served as a WPA artist. No published illustrations by him have been identified.
