Jane Piper

Jane Piper was an important Philadelphia-based painter who studied with Hans Hofmann and at the Philadelphia Academy of Fine Arts and with Arthur B. Carles. Piper is best known for her colorful, abstract still life paintings, which are included in the collections of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Woodmere Art Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum, among others.
