Joseph J. Gould

Born in Philadelphia, Gould designed posters for Lippincott's in the mid-1890s. At the time, he was in the circle of John Sloan, Robert Henri, and other young artists and illustrators in Philadelphia. He later illustrated for books and national magazines including The Saturday Evening Post.
