Joseph Konopka

Joseph Konopka was a painter and scenic artist who began his career at NBC-TV in 1952. He designed and painted sets for a variety of television programs including Late Night with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. His sets and landscape paintings have a flattened appearance typical of advertising imagery of the 1950s and 1960s. Konopka served as vice president of the New Jersey Artists Association, and his paintings are included in collections throughout the Mid Atlantic.
