Arnold BlanchAmerican painter, 1896–1968

Born in Minnesota, Blanch studied at the Minneapolis School of Art before moving to New York, where he studied at the Art Students League with John Sloan, Robert Henri, Kenneth Hayes Miller, and Boardman Robinson. He was an early member of the artists' colony of Woodstock, New York, and taught at the branch of the Art Students League there. During the 1930s he worked on murals for the WPA.
