Greg MortAmerican painter, born 1952

Greg Mort is a largely-self-taught painter inspired by the tradition of American representational painting represented in the works of artists such as Edward Hopper and Andrew Wyeth. Mort's first gallery exhibition was held in 1979 at the Georgetown Art Gallery in Washington, DC and shows of his work continued throughout the Northeast and internationally in Japan. The artist has received numerous awards and commissions and, his work is included in the public collections of the Delaware Art Museum, the Farnsworth Museum of Art, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum, among others.
