Sidney H. RiesenbergAmerican painter, illustrator, and teacher, 1885–1971
Sidney Riesenberg was born in Chicago, Illinois. After studying at the Art Institute of Chicago he moved to Yonkers, New York and began a career as an illustrator. Riesenberg was best known for his World War I propaganda posters for the United States Marine Corps and the Liberty Bonds program.
