New York City WPA

The Works Progress Administration (WPA) in New York City (1935–1943) was a large New Deal program that employed thousands to combat Depression-era unemployment. It transformed city infrastructure by building the Triborough Bridge, FDR Drive, and LaGuardia Airport, while also funding major arts, theater, and photography projects.
