Frances Devereux HallAmerican sculptor, craftsperson, and decorator, 1872–1941

Frances Devereux Jones Hall worked as a calendar designer in New Orleans in the 1890s. She studied at Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. By 1907 she was living in Philadelphia where she became a teacher. Her creative artwork included sculpture, crafts and decoration.

She was a member of the Philadelphia Art Alliance, National Association of Women Artists, Artists Association of New Orleans and New Orleans Art Association. She exhibited with those groups and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
