Alice Beard

Alice Beard (1867–1949) was born in Cincinnati and spent most of her life in New York City creating illustrations and genre paintings with strong color and active figures. She was a student of Howard Pyle at the Brandywine School of Illustrator and exhibited at the National Academy of Design, the Society of Independent Artists, and the National Arts Club.
