Jay JacksonAmerican illustrator and cartoonist, 1905–1954

Jay Jackson was a well-known cartoonist. He worked at leading African American newspapers, including the Pittsburgh Courier and the Chicago Defender, as well as illustrating science fiction titles for Ziff Publishing. He created influential comic strips "How Others See Us," "Home Folks," and "Speed Jackson," as well as reviving the long-running "Bungleton Green."
