David Higginbotham

David Higginbotham was born in New York City in 1952 and received his undergraduate degree in philosophy and art from the City College of New York in 1975. In addition to writing extensively about art, he works in photography, film, performance, installation, drawing, and painting. From 1980 until 1992, he was an assistant to conceptual artist Sol LeWitt, serving as the international director for wall murals in museums and galleries. His work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions throughout New York and Europe including onetwentyeight (New York), Lyman Allyn Art Museum (New London, CT), and Museum of Chinese in America.
