Label TextIn December of 1911, Sloan traveled to Omaha for a portrait commission. Few of the artist's portraits were commissioned, and he was nervous and excited at the opportunity to paint Nebraska millionaire Gottlieb Storz. Sloan landed the commission at the recommendation of Jessica Finch, a friend from Socialist party circles.
