Label TextThis print lampoons the art world, as most of the museum visitors appear more interested in the attractive young copyist than the works of art on display. In the left foreground, Sloan and his wife walk away from the scene, but not without a backward glance. Sloan's comic observations were influenced by the satirical cartoons of French artist Honoré Daumier.
