Label TextThis study represents the Galvin Players, a touring troupe of actors, performing in New Mexico. When the troupe traveled to Madera, California, in 1922, a notice in the Madera Tribune trumpeted: "Picture in your mind the largest, cleanest and most attractive dramatic tented organization traveling in America, a show which stands without a rival, the peer, of all dramatic shows, a show built on a solid foundation, clean, moral and refined and you have exactly what Mr. McAdam is offering the public of Madera this week."
