Label TextBurne-Jones had a wonderful sense of humor which was often expressed in caricatures of himself, friends and family. His studio assistant, Matthew Webb, to whom these sketches were given by the artist, wrote, “He was at it all the time. He loved to produce these amusing things, without end.”
