Label TextMcSorley's Bar on East 7th Street was a favorite haunt of Sloan's, and he returned many times to this "out of the way retreat for appreciative ale drinkers." The eclectic assortment of clocks and knick-knacks which decorated its "dingy walls" are visible in Sloan's sketches, as are several of the cats which freely roamed its "sawdust covered floor."
