Label TextIn 1938, Sloan received a commission from the Treasury Department to paint a mural for the U. S. Post Office in Bronxville, New York. This sketch was produced as a preliminary study for the 16-foot-long painting. To complete the monumental image, Sloan used a projector to cast his drawings onto the wall.
