Label TextH.T. Webster was an American syndicated cartoonist from the 1920s to the 1950s, specializing in single panel cartoons. Famous for his creation of the character Caspar Milquetoast, whom he defined as "the man who speaks softly and gets hit with a big stick." Here he ridicules a clueless man giving instructions to his gardener.
