Label TextAn accomplished printmaker, Wickey turned to sculpture in the 1930s. In an application for a Guggenheim Fellowship, he explained that he saw his interest in sculpture as a natural outgrowth of his work in etching, since he had been primarily interested in "the sculptural aspect of things."
