Label TextJohn Sloan spent summers in Santa Fe, New Mexico, from 1919 through 1950. Over the years, he, his first wife Dolly, and his second wife Helen acquired many pieces of silver jewelry in the Southwest, including this squash blossom necklace. Produced by Navajo silversmiths since the late 19th century, squash blossom necklaces were also made by Pueblo artisans by the time Sloan was in Santa Fe.
