Label TextThis is one of five paintings that Howard Pyle created for the Bibliophile Society of Boston. The five were produced as prints by W. H. W. Bicknell for The Bibliomania or Book-Madness. History, Symptoms and Cure of this Fatal Disease, by Thomas Frogall Dibdin. William Caxton (c. 1422-c. 1491) was thought to be the first person to introduce the printing press to England.
