After study at the Art Institute of Chicago School and the School of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Frances Rogers studied with Howard Pyle in Wilmington from about 1905 until 1910. She illustrated stories about domestic life and romance, working into the 1950s, and collaborated with fellow illustrator and author Alice Winter on 9 books.
