Label TextThis watercolor was produced as a study for a mural at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. In 1896 recent and current students, including Sloan and William Glackens, were invited to produce allegorical murals for the Academy. Some of the murals are still housed there, including Science by Glackens and Dramatic Music by Sloan.
