Label TextCharles W. Kraushaar was a New York art dealer and founder of Kraushaar Galleries in 1885. Initially the gallery sold artists' materials and photogravure reproductions, and then Kraushaar moved into selling French Barbizon prints and paintings. In the early 20th century, Kraushaar began to exhibit the work of contemporary French and American painters including Luks, Robert Henri, John Sloan, William Glackens, and Guy Pène du Bois.
