Label TextA native of Wilmington, George L. Patzer worked as the sports editor of the New Bedford (MA) Standard Times. An inscription on this drawing indicates that it was done for the Wilmington (DE) newspaper Every Evening. It depicts a reassuring child indicating that a poor man will receive help from the state. The outstreched hand suggests otherwise.
