Label TextHood's first important architectural commission was the alteration of the DuPont Company building about 1920. In 1930 his firm was called back to add the final section on the Orange Street side and to renovate an earlier section on the 10th Street side, including these doors.Hood was at the forefront in modern architectural design and the elevator doors are in the finest Art Deco style. Chambellin was an architect and sculptor who executed doors for many of Hood's projects, including Rockefeller Center in New York, Hood's last great achievement. The records are unclear as to whether Hood designed these doors himself or commissioned Chambellin to do them.
