Label TextSwedish-born Oscar Edward Cesare enjoyed a four-decade career as a premier cartoonist for publications including the New York Times Magazine, where this illustration appeared in January 1938. In addition to commercial success as an illustrator, Cesare was an exhibiting artist in the 1913 Armory Show.
